Business Conference 2019

Achieving sustainable development in the world undoubtedly revolves around the proper use of energy. However, under the current economic situation, the more energy one needs, the more pollution is likely to happen. This foregoing is simply because of the world’s reliance on fossil fuels as opposed to renewable energy sources.
The limited supplies, uneven distribution, and rising costs of fossil fuels, such as oil and gas, create a need to change to more sustainable energy sources in the foreseeable future. Energy security has become one of the leading issues in the world today as oil and other resources have become as vital to the world’s people. However with oil production rates decreasing and oil production peak nearing the world has come to protect what resources we have left in the world. With new advancements in renewable resources less pressure has been put on companies that produce the world’s oil, these resources are, geothermal, solar power, wind power and hydro-electric.

Conference History

 

The Solaris network was created at Edinburgh Napier University after
consultation amongst members from Canada, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel,
Spain, UK, and the USA. Senior colleagues who participated in the discussions
during a Specialist Conference held at Edinburgh were Emeritus Professors J L
Monteith, John Page, Professors A Kudish, R Perez, T Muneer, and Drs H
Kambezidis, C Gueymard, and staff from NREL, Colorado, USA. Immediately
following the Edinburgh event a de facto Solaris governing board was
established.

He is a leader of solar engineering research group in mechanical engineeringof Niigata University.After graduation from Kyoto University, he majored heat transfer problems in solar technologies. His research interest includes conjugate simulation of radiation-convection-conduction in solar receivers and reactors, numerical modelling of two-phase flow solar reactor and development of solar particle receivers. He holds several patents on a fluidized bed solar receiver.
